About

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, and the Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah for giving us a chance to live in peace and harmony. In this blissful year, IIUM Students’ Representative Council 2010/2011 will organize an annual program that is in line with the spirit of convocation ceremony, Convest. Chocolate Fair, is a routine event that will be collaborated with other programs in which organized in this upcoming Convest. It will give some new excitement and experience to all its visitors as well as committee members.

This program will be held starting on 9th October until 12th October 2011 at KAED gallery and CAC Foyer 3 pantry. We are excited to promote the varieties of handmade which include chocolate, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and halal hub that exist in Malaysia.

In Malaysia, it is not just brand products that made up the societies. In fact, Malaysian societies are very unique and special especially when it deals with handmade products. The internalization of Malaysian people in a lot of fields had encouraged them to accept and enjoy the other countries’ culture mainly regarding the handmade products. Thus, this fair is determined the assimilation of outside handmade products from other countries which have been accepted and enjoyed by most of people in this country compared to brand products.

The chocolate and dairy products fair can become a way to show our support to Malaysian chocolate industry as well as to give opportunity to the new comers in this industry to introduce and market their products. As the complementary of chocolate and dairy products fair, the SMEs products also aimed to produce a platform for the exhibitors to promote their products to the public which will enable the entrepreneur to strengthen their business. In fact, we apply an effective promotion strategy and approach to ensure the investment made by the exhibitors to participate in this fair will be worth it and profitable.
